Colleges across the country this spring have been wrestling with student requests for what are known as “trigger warnings,” explicit alerts that the material they are about to read or see in a classroom might upset them or, as some students assert, cause symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder in victims of rape or in war veterans."

"The political left has come up with a new buzzword: “micro-aggression.”
Professors at UC Berkeley have been officially warned against saying such things as “America is the land of opportunity.” Why? Because this is considered to be an act of “micro-aggression” against minorities and women. Supposedly it shows that you don’t take their grievances seriously and are therefore guilty of being aggressive toward them, even if only on a micro scale."

I am being convinced that many on here do not even realize what is happening in our schools and around the country. Activism abounds
I was not the OP on this and just trying to help out. There was a thread on what is happening in our elementary schools as well which all should read.
