I have tried Windex, doesn't work either. it leaves streaks too. I don't care HOW unnatural it is, I would like it not only to BE clean, but to LOOK clean.

I often wonder if the folks who design our kitchen appliances have ever used kitchen appliances. I have had stainless steel appliances in the past in two different homes and they cleaned up nicely with soap and water and CLEAN rags.
