I often wonder if the folks who design our kitchen appliances have ever used kitchen appliances. I have had stainless steel appliances in the past in two different homes and they cleaned up nicely with soap and water and CLEAN rags.

Gracie: We have been here a very short time and this is one of those pet peeves that is high on our irritation list (it is a very short list)

We had no issues with stainless in our previous house.
We also have another issue (need a separate thread) that our Whirlpool electric stove top (black) never wipes clean.
