Hi Katydid, we moved here in Nov. and can't say enough good things about it. I really never feel like this is just a "couples" community. Most of the time I'm off with the girls to some class or just having lunch. I think that only one member of the household must be 55, but I'm not sure about that. So at 48, I really don't know if that's a problem. I'm trying to get my best friend to move down her when she's ready. She's divorced and keeps thinking it's all couples but it's not. There all ages, at the classes, town squares, and social events. You'll love it here.
