I have never figured out why we even have an IRS. It is like a huge black hole. They have the tax codes so complicated that we have to hire somebody to do our taxes. Just think, if there was no IRS and only a flat sales tax,

No tax preparers needed
No tax credits
No tax free organizations
The rich would pay more in taxes, the more you earn the more you spend.
Everybody would pay their fair share of taxes
A few million less people on the taxpayer's tab. ( Actually, who knows how many)
We just might be able to balance the budget.

I know, "The Fair Tax" idea has been around for years and if not for the IRS protecting their own jobs, we would probably have it.
