I am a bit surprised by the mostly negative reaction to this post. We both figured that if one of us went first, it would be rather nice to have a "Golden Girls" or Guys situation. The company would be lovely, and heaven forbid you have an accident/illness and live alone. I think many of us wish to age in place and not downsize, but we have too much home for one person. The parties would have to be sympatico, of course, but I think home sharing could be quite lovely for all concerned.
