The problem with throwing the responsibility on the moderators is the moderators have political beliefs. What they could be throwing out is views that they don't agree with. If you don't that happens, take a good look at letters printed in The Daily Sun. Every post made by a Democrat will have at least one response by a Republican. Republican posts hardly ever get a response by a Democrat or Independent. There are two Republican letter writers, whose views are down right insane, but always are printed. No one is ever allowed to respond to these two. The belief that has to be taken by Republicans letter writers is they are so right that no one can dispute their letters. The reality is no one is allowed to dispute their letters.

I have written letters in response to Republican letter writers. I almost always got past the first tier at the Daily Sun, but never past the editor. I wrote a letter to the editor, and charged him with censorship. In the letter, I referenced three weeks of Republican posts, and highlighted something in every post that someone could have had a differing view. I asked the question, "how is it possible that no one having a different view from the Republican letter writers were ever printed? There was one letter printed by a Democrat, and it had a differing view the next week." He said to send my letters directly to him. I sent a letter as passive as I could be, and it was never printed. I sent my next letter to Larry, the editor, and said, "Larry, censorship! Guilty as charged." Gee, guess whose letters will never see the light of day at The Sun.

I am sorry to say here ignoring and discounting views that are different from the far right happens all to often. Some of these aren't rants, but reasonable opposing views. By ignoring them is the same as shouting someone down, and just as rude. I had the mistaken view that this was a political forum opened to all views. It appears that is a game of name calling and one upmanship. When you respond in kind to the name callers, you are the problem.
