She seems a bit self-centered to me. I have to admit that I have never heard of her before, so I don't know her history other than what she supplied in the article. Regardless of respecting her right to believe the way she wishes, I don't agree with most of her political and religious beliefs. I do agree with her opinion of some of the characters she talked about though. In my opinion, she seems to have an elite view of society and enjoys the spoils of others' efforts, while criticizing those around her from the protection of her perch. Just my opinion. She proclaims to be open minded and criticizes others for not being, while she admits to being an atheist and socialist. From my read of the article, I get the feeling that she is being condescending. I could be misjudging her, but I am only basing my opinion on her interview. I am always amused at how the elite embrace socialism until it effects their pocketbook, and proclaim to be atheists until cowering in the proverbial foxhole.
