Hope your bottom line is true and mine is all screwed up.
Maybe I am being a spoiled baby. I do not see much discussion of the GOP's candidates stances on anything, only Trump.
I also see very little in the way of Clintons proposal, and wow when did a candidate every have major announcement and say and I will use a quote because it is rare to have the coverage of a major announcement to say.

All we hear is the GOP defending against and discussing Trump. To me, it is so much wasted time, and I am afraid it will get worse.
But again, maybe it is me....I think there are some special messages out there and not being heard. Just tired of all the channels and newspapers being all about Trump. And for the record Trump, at this point, has brought
NOTHING to the table at all. That, of course, discounts his calling people idiots and simply making up things to throw out to get approval.
Sorry for being a bummer, and I hope you are right....my "gut" says this can only be bad for the GOP.
