Default Dandy Livingstone and other reggaes

Recently watched a cute little movie with a good reggae soundtrack. I looked up the artists on the Allmusic website and get some good leads for some new songs. One of the artists was a guy named Dandy Livingstone. He turned out to be a one-hit wonder but it’s a good song; Rudy, a Message to You. It’s still one more hit than I ever had.

I like reggae. Some of my favorites are Alton Ellis, Bob Marley, Delroy Wilson, Desmond Dekker, Jimmy Cliff, Johnny Nash, Ken Boothe, Peter Tosh, UB 40 and the all time best, Toots and the Maytals. Let me know if you have some recommendations not on this list.

Related recommendation. There’s a two or three-year-old documentary out called Marley. Bob Marley is the principal subject but reggae in general gets a pretty good presentation. It’s a very good documentary about a very interesting guy.
