Our daughter-in-law spends three months every summer on the tundra the pictures that she sends back are amazing. Said the best part is waking up with the tent rumbling so much thinking that the ice was breaking apart below her. And in reality it was just a herd so large that it shook the ice beneath them. The crew that she goes up with her is only two or three. They get dropped off and the beginning of summer and picked up at the end of three months. Yep that means no running water no showers interesting food. But her results to the government are always important. But there is the fear that something may drag them out of their tents at any time. She has made seven trips and hoping that this will be her last.
