I suggest that is almost impossible.

MY OPINION is that no real American votes PARTY first but on the issues. When we agree most times with one party then we register with that party and we can vote anyway we want. Voting STRAIGHT PARTY, to me, is lazy and un american.

The alternative is lets just count up the registrations and do not vote at all. I proudly say

I have never voted straight party in my life and I used to work for one party years ago.

I have never selected a business based on their political philosophy

I have never selected a friend based on their political philosophy

I do feel it obscene to even utter the words "boycott democrat run businesses."

THAT statement or act is about as un american as anyone can be. It is also very very scary to hear someone say that no matter how it is intended.
Friend, you need to chill out. I did NOT make the statement asking for a boycott. Just the opposite.
I have no idea what or who you wish to address this to, but for some reason you responded to my comment.
As far as voting straight party, there are some good reasons to do just that. Long ago, I voted for what I thought to be the best candidate, regardless of party. They talk a good story, as you know. They will say whatever you want to hear. Well, I made that mistake of voting out of party on a couple of occasions and was burned. Most (not all) congressional representatives will vote on bills according to/with their party. Regardless of whether or not I like my party's candidate, I WILL vote for him/her because I have a better chance of being represented according to my ideology. You can go ahead and vote for whomever you think is the prettiest, or offers you the most (being facetious) and get burned. I will vote straight party, and most likely the candidate that I do not "like" will vote on issues according to my party. You can disagree all you want. You can say my idea is "obscene" all you want, but in the end if you vote liberal, you get liberal votes in congress. If you vote conservative, you get conservative votes in congress.

I did not bait you or intend to get you upset. I still have no idea what you are even peeved at regarding my response to the subject of boycott. But, that's your right, being an American (I assume).
