To those new to living year around with all this humid air, it is very wise to have your dryer vent cleaned out.


Our fairly new dryer was not drying clothes in it's usual manner, taking longer than usual. My husband did his usual detach the back and do the sweeper thing and cleaned into the vent as usual. But after having read this forum I insisted that we find a dryer vent cleaner.


This gentleman climbed on the roof and removed a BUNCH of hardened dried up lint. I mean solid yucky stuff.


Since then the dryer works fine, but I made a mental note to see that this task is done ....maybe yearly. And I bet it has been a year now. Time flies here.
