First time I went to school in the USA, I followed a little boy to the bathroom -- gender specific didn't exist in Germany, France, Iran, Russia., at least not in the schools I attended. You should have heard the little boys shriek!

Like so many things here, this is a big brouhaha over nothing. As has been repeatedly said, this is a small, private elementary school with private stalls and bathrooms.

And making derogatory comments about California is showing nothing but bigotry and ignorance. Yes, it has gays. Yes, it accepts gays and transgender. There are more straights than gays in California by a large margin. Even the Bay Area has a large Republican contingent. It also has conservatives, a lot of wealth and many resources. Stereotyping is wrong and ugly, whether about an individual, a class, a political party, a state, a religion or whatever. All you show is your ignorance and lack of humanity.
