Most of the above isn't what I would do, but rather what I do. I think it goes along way for a safer MMP ride.

and I will add this goes to operating a car. Agree with you completely. My father in law, suffered from macular degeneration (lived in FL for almost 30 years), and realized he could not see well enough to drive, and turned in his license and keys. He is my role model, and I plan to do the same, when I have the same or similar problems. I could not live with myself, if I injured or killed someone under these circumstances.
