The pipes on my Harley are very loud, and I try to coast most of the way out of my village. Although, it seems they are still not load enough to keep negligent drivers from turning into me and cutting me off on the road. I even have the pipes baloney cut facing out to the right so that if I am in a person's blind spot, the noise will bounce off their quarter panel, hopefully waking them up. I love the rumble of my Harley, but do not enjoy the loud noise. I do it as survival, not to be a nuisance. I hardly ride now because of the many times that negligent Villagers have mindlessly come close to ending my enjoyment once and for all. I did own four motorcycles until I moved down here. I sold all but one, that my wife refuses to give me permission to part with. She knows how much it has meant to me over the years.

I am tempted to remove the roof of my golf cart so that I can get some semblance of the biker feeling I used to enjoy. The open air experience of riding an open vehicle is too hard to explain. Wonder if I can get a little Harley sound effects horn for my golf cart.
