This is both so sad and infuriating at the same time. These young men and women in law enforcement and our military serve us, make us safe, and take an oath to defend America knowing they may be called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice. How unfair to just be gunned down for what you are.
My son just lost his best friend, I cannot mention his name or I would have to kill all of you, but suffice it to say his death was not natural and he was a commander in the Navy Seals in counterintelligence probably in some desert hellhole, doing his job protecting the rest of us. For Christmas, 2011, my son gave me a US flag that this man flew over a secret base in Northern Iraq that he commanded, just for me on 9/11/11, 10th anniversary of that horrible day and had it flown back to Colorado Springs, with a certificate from the command of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He leaves behind a young wife and 3 young children. What a waste.
I hate to sound jaded, but I'm beginning to think there are just some people who do not deserve to live in our country or enjoy our freedoms. Perhaps they should just be fed to ISIS, and I would start with those that made that general threat to all police this morning.
Condolences to the family and friends of both these men and all like them. Thank you all for your service, you will be remembered with honor.
