At work in CT, blissfully unaware that the towers had come down, until my son called and told me what had happened.
He was a couple of blocks away in lower Manhattan. He was in a basement but he and his co-corkers felt the building shake. They went upstairs and saw the first plane sticking out of the tower. He started walking uptown and then the second plane hit. He then ran uptown as a tremendous amount of dust filled, the air.
A day, "we shall never forget".
