Was it a "nerdy" boy dared to kiss a real popular cheerleader girl - or a "cool" boy dared to kiss an unpopular girl? No details were given in the various reports.

This has been drilled into kids in school, church, and home to respect others. Basically, it all comes down to peer pressure - and 8th grade boys are - have been - and probably always will be - just kind of stupid.

Charging with assault is legally right but calling police goes too far. A week of suspension handled in-house by the school would have been how to do it
My opinion is that we live now in a society that in the last 5 years or so has made anyone and everyone in any kind of authority so fearful of doing their job as they see fit.

It is the inroads of socialism in my opinion. We have advanced on police, schools, everyone and tell them...if you do not treat me right (and I will decide what is treating me right), I will sue you or in some way cause you pain. Right nor wrong make a difference....just that I do not like it.

Police issues have channels to solve problem, but we never even get that far and when we get there, if the decision is not satisfactory for those who are complaining, then we go back at them.

Socialism, anarchy....not in total but we are in the throes and beginnings of a total chaotic society.

Those who now wish to come on here and claim that this attitude is like "the sky is falling", I ask you to throw aside your political leanings and just sit back and think of what has happened in the last 5 years to our society and it total and complete lack of respect for anything except, it appears, to their political party.
