I think you have it mixed up. A poster or two on here have said that anyone opposed is racist because of Powell. You cannot have it both ways in the need to call racist.
EVERYONE knew that the other parties in this deal wanted it badly. They do not have the ties to Israel that we used to have....they have had business deals and want the sanctions to end for their own economy.
The americans, 3/4 of them, of course do not have the knowledge of Sen Cardin but they see a very famaliar pattern emerging. If you have read the links supplied about the backroom arm twisting in congress on this deal, the rush to the UN to make congress look bad, and the minipulation to dis allow even a vote, it is eerily like the ACA bill.
We have bowed to Russia, etc so their economy can thrive.....we make certain conditions when negotiations began AND THEN THE COUNTRY WAS INTERESTED. We gave in on ALL points during negotiations. The President is ignoring the american citizens on this and is playing his political games once again.....and by the way, he is good at it, but I always hoped that statesmanship would trump party.....that the good of our country would trump party.
And speakng of Trump....he is getting attention because of our President and his politicking. Americans are just sick of it....not just his side, but his side has really gotten good at it and are forcing our country down a very slippery slope.

What people have said here is they do not listen to Colin Powell, because he supported Obama in the last two president elections. O'Reilly tried to throw the race card in a very polite way at Powell. Powell snapped backed that his support for Obama was on economical policies, and not race. It was quite apparent that no one here listened to Powell's interview on Meet The Press. Why wouldn't you want to hear what a former Republican Secretary of State had to say about the agreement?
Obama made congress look bad by rushing to the UN for a vote. Is that right? 47 Republican senators wrote a letter to Iranian leaders to include Ayatollah Khomeini telling them the deal wasn't a done deal. The implication was the US was going to back out of a bad deal. The Iranian foreign minister called the letter a propaganda ploy. They brought Netanyahu to speak before Congress before the deal was finalized. How do you make that crowd look any worst than they already are? Are you going to even try to say the Republicans aren't playing games with this agreement?
21% of Americans support the deal, that is right. However, 30% said that do not know if it is a good deal or not. The poster wrote that 75% of Americans think it is a bad deal. He threw all the don't knows into the bad deal column. That isn't playing with numbers to support your argument! Then, what is?
We didn't give in everything to Iran on the agreement. They wanted their military sites to be off limits. Do you think for a second that Iran wanted their supplies of nuclear bomb material to be cut back as far as they have? This Iranian self inspection only applies to nuclear sites that have been dismantled. They will supply material from the sites for inspection.
The 24 day hysteria is just that. Iran delayed an inspection of one their former nuclear sites for 10 months before they let the IAEA onto them. The IAEA still found out that they were trying to produce nuclear bombs on the site. You literally can't hide what you were doing in 24 days.
There really does become a point where you have to provide some details of what you are going to do other than repeal and replace, get a better deal, and never say how.
I will look into this arm twisting deal. All the Democratic Senators that voted for the plan did so based upon conscience and not one of them mentioned arm twisting. The arm twisting was done behind closed doors. How nice another conspiracy theory.
I will ask you what is so bad about the ACA that it will bankrupt the country as one posted said. No one has ever answered that question that I can recall.
