He writes not just about the coyote but about all kinds of wildlife and suburbia. Not line dancers, cougars, but "human subadults with a twisted sense of fun" do come into discussion. Foxes, turtles, bears, deer, moose, owls, squirrels, are discussed.
This is a somewhat intellectual but not academic book about how we should deal with wild animals near suburban areas such as the Villages, FL. He does not write about the Villages, FL nor even about Florida all that much.
