When are we going to stop tolerating networks running debates in order to provide entertainment and get ratings? The questioning last night was ridiculous right from the get go. These candidates have got to get together and agree that they're not going to tolerate this kind of nonsense anymore.

There was no attempt to find out any information regarding plans, positions or ideas. It was all about trying to start fights between them.

The candidates really need to start answering those questions by saying, "I'm not going to answer that. Do you have a question about my positions?" Every one of them should answer those ridiculous, baiting questions this way and maybe we'll get an actual debate this election season.

Kasich brought it up after about ten minutes of nonsense. I liked it when he said, "If I were watching this at home, I'd turn it off."

The sad thing is, most people wouldn't turn it off. Some, like me, are hoping that something of substance will come out of it. Sadly, others are actually enjoying it like it's some kind of soap opera.
You bring up a Pandora box of issues.

I would go one step further and ask when are we going to stop tolerating networks controlling elections PERIOD.

They are playing for viewers only and that applies to ALL networks. Now, I understand that is their business but somehow there has to be a way to find a balance and understanding of exactly what they are covering.

The intent is to bring the candidates message to the voters, but they control everything about that deliverance.

I am fully aware of the inherent problems they have as well, but I share your frustration with how these debates and just the general coverage is handled.
