I think Trump's star will lose it's luster in the coming days. The ability to get things done sitting on top of a multi billion $$ empire is very much different than getting it done as a sitting president.
It usually takes a good year or maybe even two before a new president learns what they can and cannot do compared to a wealthy private citizen. What then matters is what the new president does in year 3 and beyond to make things work.
Example? Obama learned....missed his opportunity the first two years with a democratic congress and then went on to do nothing of substance to improve how the govenrment works. He did also learn that he could ignore and side step the constitution with executive orders and just ignoring the laws of the land.
At some point it will become obvious that Trump is saying what many of us want to hear and that is driving his numbers. That will change as the voters then look to who is best to carry out what they heard?
