Hmm, I guess some folks are so worried about PC that they fail to realize that the holiday IS Christ's birthday and we shouldn't be ashamed of referring to it with the traditional Merry Christmas. I'm not ashamed of it and many of my Jewish friends return the same salutation. I also try to remember their holidays so that I can greet them appropriately. That's my option. Just because some folks don't believe, does not make it taboo to greet each other during a holiday with the proper greeting. In my opinion, politically correct would dictate to THEM that they should take the initiative and greet me with my preference of greetings. PC works both ways, not just aimed at boosting up the liberal. I am sensitive to others and their feelings but find it sanctimonious for them to feel that I should change my religious practice to satisfy their non-belief. They have their right NOT to believe in anything, and I have my right to practice my religion as long as it doesn't harm anyone else. Being cheerful, charitable and thankful during religious holidays is hardly harming anyone else, and I have no intention of changing for them. It won't change how they feel, so why should I care?
