At the risk of getting labeled arrogant and condescending, in this case I have to say A LOT. This quote comes from the 26th episode of the first season of Star trek (TOS) , "Errand of Mercy". Spock to Kirk---"I would say that the Organians are as far above us on the evolutionary scale as we are above the amoeba". You can substitute "conservatives" for "Organians" and "liberals" for "us" and the statement remains true
