[Boomer]

This is probably a really dumb question, but that has never stopped me before. I remember a question long ago where I asked how to edit my posts and the kind strangers out there in TOTVland patiently tutored me all the way to the all too obvious answer that had been staring right at me.

So here's another plea for help:

OK. See this little guy on the white horse. -- crap

I really like him. I think of him as a knight in shining armor riding to the rescue.

I have used this little sword wielding guy in a couple of threads, one where I was writing about how the ham radio guys have you covered in a disaster. I thought I was saying good things, showing my respect.

Now, I suddenly notice that in the spot in the message box where the little guy goes, it says "crap" and I don't know why. OK, you just saw him again. I did not ask him to ride in. I was just trying to write "crap" and he showed up. OK I AM GOING TO TRY AGAIN. C--R--A--P ---- Aha, it worked.

But I don't get it. It's a little guy on a white horse. What am I missing? Does it have anything to do with road apples? I hope not.

Sometimes I can think sideways for fairly long periods of time. But I just don't get the allusion here. -- or is it an analogy? What in the crap is it?

Please explain.
