Secondly, Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC reports that the USA was notified of these air strikes by a mid level person rapping on the door of the embassy in Baghdad and telling them...hey, we are going to bomb in Syria...just letting you know. THAT strikes me as insulting as heck.

It is very definitely insulting. I've come to the conclusion Obie has no threshold at all for being embarrassed. He looked like a complete idiot at the UN compared to Putin.
