From what I've seen, the garbage truck comes before the recycling truck. I noticed this morning that the black garbage bags were gone but the clear ones were not. I looked down the street and saw several white bags still out. My neighbor does not recycle. Her trash is always in a white bag. It was picked up by the garbage men. Two doors down, one of the white bags was still on the ground. I got curious and walked by it -- it was full of recyclables. So, at least in my little area of Santo Domingo, the garbagemen picked up their trash bags and the recylcing guys picked up up all the recycling -- even those in white bags or in boxes. Wonder if this will continue when our "amnesty" period is over. Sure hope so.
