Not sure of what you say.
There was a poll which had NO supposed punch as to what was to happen. America Day WAS IN FACT a tradition at the school. America Day did come in third, BUT its inclusion was SUBSTITUTED BY COLLEGE DAY BY THE ADMIN.
COLLEGE DAY, by the way came in 5th, I believe but was pushed ahead because of what the Activities directer, a fellow named Mike Hansen....
"Hansen said he wasn’t against the school supporting patriotism, but after meeting with the student council and hearing comments he saw that a number of students didn’t feel American and felt “targeted and singled out by this day.”
The district has a large Latino population, though administrators didn’t point to any group.
“Many different students could have felt singled out,” Hansen said. “Maybe they moved here last week. Maybe they moved here last month.
“We’re trying to balance many different things here. We’re trying to be inclusive and safe, make everyone feel welcome.”
Now liberal blogs failed to mention all this but the students rebelled a bit and showed up wearing our colors on clothes and other ways.
Kids wear red, white and blue in spite of no America Day - Jackson Hole News&Guide: Schools
I linked to the Jackson Hole site because if anyone knows they do.
If you stop reading you are stuck with only one side of any story folks.
So you see...FOX was correct. It was ignored even though it came in third. Now they did not make that clear but the only progressive site I read on this just made fun of them and ignored more than they did and really twisted the story.
