I had been volunteering for a month or so and was set to meet our new Director-- the previous one had scolded a volunteer for taking a too long coffee break as well as liked to watch porn movies in his office with the door partially open. The New Director upon meeting me --a fellow holder of a MA in Librarianship told me with his first statement to me that "I do not like liars and whiners". A few minutes later he made me an offer he thought I could not refuse. He said that he wanted 50% of anything he could get for the library by helping me with my project to get practical materials in libraries for survivors/victims of crimes. This is my 224 613 Project which was going strong at that point. I said "No" to his offer but continued volunteering after adding a stint at volunteering for two more days a week at the sister library in the same community which was under the final control of this New Director. I was never all that popular at either of these libraries though probably because of the offer I could not refuse. I had started volunteering in the first place to hopefully get a door into employment in a public library near the city where I lived with my parents.

This tells why I felt I needed to volunteer at two libraries in the Palm Harbor Library and why also I try to do things in writing and where many people can see what is going on in their communities. Remember that libraries are supposed to be about access to information of all kinds especially that of politics in their local communities as well as those at the state level. Gene Coppola is now the President of the Florida Library Association so his trustworthiness, honesty, integrity and the like do reflect back on libraries here in Sumter, Lake, and Marion Counties.
I do hope that you will Google a little and look at the documents I have in my 224 613 Project to get practical materials into libraries of all kinds for survivors/victims of crimes. This is based on my experiences with the Michelle Mitchell 2-24-1976 murder of my then Earl Wooster High School teacher's daughter near the University of Nevada, Reno campus. 2-24 is my birthday and the Michelle Mitchell murder is probably now solved in 2015 but is still an open case as far as I know. It is connected to the Gypsy Hill murders in the San Francisco Bay area. These were murders of 5 or more women in the first four months of 1976. The primary suspect of these killings is a Michigan man named Rodney Halbower who is now in prison in Oregon.
