We have the GE appliances in our house for 8 years now and so far not a problem. The dishwasher has done a great job for us. We have the same dishwasher you do. I would not put a lot of money into repairing it as you can buy a new one for around $375. If yours in bisque however you may have a hard time matching the color if you do buy new.
