Actually, he holds few of the cards. It is a problem though if I want to volunteer at some library in Marion, Sumter or Lake County as I would have to explain just a little bit about my former library experiences in as truthful a manner as possible.

I would be very surprised if Gene Coppola tried anything from the Palm Harbor Library General Counsel now. He probably complained to the Florida Library Association about what I wrote about him and as he is the President they listened but if he takes this wider into the limelight of more objective viewers, investigators, etc. the facts should be there. There is that March 2, 2004 certified letter which is a huge blunder and it has no factual basis. I said nothing libelous about Coppola. Libel implies false statements. I was making sincere honest criticisms of the Palm Harbor Library web-site and its lack of a link to the Florida Victim Services Directory.
Victim Services Directory His reference staff at that time agreed with me that there was no link to the Florida Victim Services Directory. I still believe in the Florida Constitution and the US Constitution. A thug and bully like Gene Coppola works well in the shadows and behind closed doors. If you open the doors and shine light on a person like this, in a fair world you should win.
There are good people on the Florida Library Association Facebook Group who should be able to shift through the facts and get at the most likely assessment of what actually happened in Palm Harbor, Florida in March of 2004.
He does hold many cards if I lived in Palm Harbor, I do not.
I think that some of those people are just very embarrassed that they voted Gene Coppola in as the President of the Florida Library Association.
In the years I volunteered at Palm Harbor Library (2000-2003) Gene Coppola did bully a lot of people as well as lie to them so maybe some of these will come forward as well and show some courage. I do not believe Coppola became a better person with age just a lot more ambitious and arrogant one. He is a very good liar though being quite shameless.
My being a poster on the Florida Library Association Facebook Group is still in the pending stage. I was kicked off and am trying to get back on. But, there have been very few posts in the last day or so. I posted a lot on there over the past few weeks since being OKed as a member. I do not work in a Florida Library now but my 224 613 Project is very much involved with Florida libraries and their holdings for survivors/victims of crimes. I have lived in Florida since 1996.
