Default Snowbirds vs. Year-Rounders - What %?

My wife and I bought a house in The Villages and will retire there in a year or so. We were at Costco this morning up in our pre-retirement house and got talking about the fact that Costco hasn't opened a store nearer to The Villages than Orlando and have read that it is because Costco sees the population of The Villages as being "seasonal". Does anybody have any idea what percentage of the population stays year round vs. what percentage leaves for the summer? I couldn't figure out how that would be determined as I don't think anybody has to register to leave or anything. My wife suggested maybe you could view it was the percentage by which businesses such as restaurants drop in grosses over the summer. Anyway, does anybody know? Just curious.
