It's my reaction. It's an instinct based upon thousands of incidents in the past. It's not thinking. I can't pull up the thousands of incidents. It's seeing how my relatives behaved as they got older. Some being very different than they were when they were younger. Bill Cosby [no one I respect now] use to do a comedy routine about his mother as a grandmother and how she treated his children so kindly. He said to his little kids, "Don't let her fool you. She's just an old woman who is trying to get into heaven". Why do people laugh at that routine even though it's uncomfortable for 50 years? There must be something in that that aging process that rings true with the audiance.
