[Boomer]

How far away is Lakeland from TV? This is supposed to be a pretty big deal.

I know Mr. Boomer would like to go to this. He makes a pilgrimage to "EAA AirVenture Oshkosh" every year.

For that week Oshkosh is the world's busiest airport. They say the controllers are invited and that they are the best. Some of them are standing on wagons, like hay wagons. They all wear hot pink shirts. And they land thousands and thousands of airplanes during that week. They land as many as 3 planes at a time on each runway. It goes on and on, one plane after another, after another. The pilots better be paying attention. I stay home.

It's all airplanes all the time so for those who love flying, it is heaven. Anybody famous in the world of flying has been to Oshkosh. Mr. Boomer got to meet Paul Tibbets. Chuck Yeager has been there. And oh yeah, Jimmy Buffett's plane. I wonder if Jimmy Buffett himself is at the Florida show.

"Sun 'n Fun" is supposed to be great, too. I know when we are in TV, Mr. Boomer will round up some other people and go. We won't be there that soon this year though. I hope somebody gives a report here on "Sun 'n Fun." If you are down there close and you love flying, don't miss it.
