When we did that in 2008(?) we could see fronds sitting on the lanai. They grew much faster than Jamie (landscaper) had predicted and by this year it looked like two telephone poles. Without the view and the trimming becoming more difficult due to height, down they came.
Now we enjoy the neighbor's
