It is the perfect golf hat for Florida. The wide brim keeps the sun at bay, and the sweat band sops up a lot of moisture. When it is really hot, I just douse the sweat band with ice water and get a quick cool down.
Since my original purchase, I have played about 800 rounds of golf, always wearing the Tilley hat. It has been through the washing machine at least 400 times. It was looking a little worse for wear, and I noticed that the crown was frayed.
Called Tilley, sent them my hat and a $8.50 check for the return shipping. Today, my brand new replacement Tilley had showed up.
Amazing company.

800 round of golf in 4 years = 200 rounds a year. If you can afford green fees for 200 rounds a year, $80 bucks for a hat should be a breeze. Just yankin your chain. Congrats on the stamina to play 16+ rounds every month!
