Not sure if was race, but the Republicans have been intimidated by this President, and I think more than race it was and is his total disregard for any process. I suppose in one way that should be applauded, but in my lifetime (which is longer than I will admit to) I have never seen a President so sure of himself and so cloaked in advisors that are simply politically motivated.

In any case, I surely hope that first of all, being aggressive will not be necessary, but if it is, I hope the changes being made will make them (Republicans) stand up to this stuff.
