We discussed some of these ?? in another thread but I know that once you pay the bond off that portion of the tax bill will go away you still might have some other non-ad-valorem charges related to maintenance etc it differs depending upon which county your in when you bought etc. When I filed for residency in 06 they(Lake County tax assessors office) told me you must file before jan 1st to get the homestead exemption although I've had others tell me march 1st. Starting in 09 the homestead exemption is 50k instead of the 25k now assuming it doesn't change between now and then.
