The photo shows the drainage pond next to us, into which the rainwater from the road empties. Over the years, soil and sand etc. have been washed into the pond such that it is now considerably shallower than before. This has allowed water plants to grow in it which, when they die back, add further soil to the pond.

The pond now fills up very quickly, overflowing into the preserve, rather than fulfilling its intended role of moderating the water flow and soaking away over time. Who should I contact to come out and inspect, with a view to dredging it out to its original depth?
