I'm not a Dem, but I am a liberal. I understood why the banks were bailed out but I certainly didn't like it. Same would apply today. I don't want to see a worldwide depression but I'm a firm believer that companies should sink or swim on their own merits. Welfare for banks, automobile companies, etc. is just not right. And, before you ask, yes I do believe in welfare for the uneducated, unskilled, unemployed or those earning poverty wages. However, I do believe it should be for a limited time and should include education and job training.
