Someone at the local Pet Co. or maybe Pet Smart recommended that you put your name rather than your dog's name on the ID along with your address and phone number so that some crook with bad intentions could not steal your dog by calling its name. Many dogs I know though come to anyone with the nice tone in his/her voice.
