What I am saying is eliminate Medicare and let's see what the real premiums would be for people over 65. It's safe to say most Social Security checks wouldn't cover the premiums. I'm getting the impression that people want to eliminate Obamacare and Medicare and the free market would determine the rates.
You want to see what $2,000. is going to buy a senior couple on the open market. No, you don't. You are looking for a non-group plan at community rates for someone over 65 years old. You would be lucky to see a $3,000. per month premium. If you don't think that is the case, go online a check rates for non-group plans for couples under 65.
