Yes but then you would have to defend that position. Most states are "at will" states but once you cite a reason for firing someone you need to defend that at cause offense.
Perhaps there was a legitimate reason or no reason for firing this kid but one thing is quite clear about this place it is highly defensive and protective when it comes to its brand.
As to the issue of seniors in case you haven't heard there is an unofficial campaign by baby boomers who take exception to be viewed as seniors and all the stereotypical baggage that comes with it.... dare I say many view it as a micro-aggression. That's why we have the new 70 is 60, That's why the the face lifts industry is booming and that's why all the hormone injections so that we have a 70 year old face on a 20 something body. well I was a war baby and I don't need no stinking hormone injections
