Dont want to beat this to death, but as I understand what you posted.....

NOBODY paid anything to get in

It was never announced as a charge

You "heard from someone" that there was "supposed" to be a charge

I am not sure what your comment about "rose colored glasses" alluded to,but sure hope this forum is not intended to foster rumors and CREATE discussion on negatives that never ever occur !
