As to tees i do not believe the type of tee matters. consider for instance if your in the rough and the ball is sitting up its as good as being teed up. Beside I prefer to hit the cheap wood tees because you can hit them and forget them and I'm not one for searching for minutes at a time to search and retrieve my tee it goes against ready golf

My golfing buddy from upstate ny says he hits one club less at home.
This gives me hope.
I never noticed anyone holding up a tee looking for the martini tees. If they don't find it right away, and they almost always do they're so big, they step back and after the last hitter you can spot it and catch up in a cart.
Even at a dollar a piece they save money. The last one I lost was a turtle mound. The water was right on front of the box on 4 and that's where the tee went. [note to self]
