Wow, what a reminiscence! As a kid I was actually on 'American Bandstand' a couple of times, Malcolm X was assassinated four blocks from where I lived, our NY home is only a short distance from Bethel where the Woodstock Festival took place, and I'm sorry to say I do remember that teacher salary....
