In each case the gunman was a male and 90% of the time the male shooter was white.

In Colorado I have more to fear white male terrorists than Muslim terrorists just looking at the facts. Why is it so hard for you all to admit that fact? Are my stats wrong? Show me yours.....
So, lets explore your theory a little further. According to your supposition, doctors kill more people than gun toting murderers, so we should avoid doctors at all cost.
Automobiles kill more people than guns so we should avoid all machinery at all cost.

Anyone can take a stat and use it to their means.

Most of gun related death is due to suicide. There has been a reduction in violent crime in the last fifteen years, so that should be considered. Why? Could it be that the states that have concealed carry laws are reducing crime?

The gov cannot legislate less mental health problems. It CAN be an element of stress on the population when it becomes a nanny or micro-manager. That could be construed as a contributing factor.

You cannot lump mental health related mass killings with terrorist related mass killings. You cannot handle both in the same manner. Terrorism is fought with good intelligence, whereas mental health is much harder to pinpoint. No one knows when a person goes from strange to dangerous. I have a strange neighbor, but if he is not yet dangerous, he can't be committed for treatment. But, how do we know when he might (if ever) do something damaging? A person loses his mind and starts on a rampage does not make him a terrorist. That term needs to be modified to fit the incident so that it can be treated appropriately. You cannot treat mental health issues the same as radical extremism. You cannot continue to be PC when dealing with radical Islamic extremists, terrorists. The first rule of treatment for a disease is admitting it exists and classifying it appropriately.

Mental health is not political, no matter what party that person/perpetrator is registered as. Terrorism IS political but party affiliation should not be an element toward treatment. If our leaders cannot label real terrorism, but use the term incorrectly for political gains on the mentally impaired, then those leaders are impotent and ignoring the real issue. Mental health and terrorism should be addressed as separate issues and treated with two differing methods of correction.

Our liberal leaders wish to use any issue as a platform for gun control, when gun control has nothing to do with the issue. They are ignoring the real motive by blaming the vehicle. Blaming an automobile for DWI is basically what these leaders are doing.

A loonytoon with anger issues that suddenly snaps and goes on a killing spree is not the same as a loonytoon with radical political or religious beliefs that wishes to kill anyone that doesn't follow his beliefs.

We can profile radical Middle Eastern extremists successfully and eliminate some danger to our community. But, it is not easy to profile mental health issues. The gov cannot legislate or determine what is to be defined as mental balance.

Basically, we have a war going on in the world with radical extremism and it has moved to America some years ago. We cannot continue to ignore it and use it as a basis for unrelated gun control politics. Gun control has nothing to do with most of the killings, even if guns are used in the commission of these crimes. Politicians need to get past this need to mandate and manage people's lives, thinking that they know better than we do what is good for us. They need to address the real issue and start cleaning up the cancer of extremism. To do so, you have to remove some of the good tissue with the disease. Being PC when it comes to profiling is not going to make America any safer. Radical Islam considers our PC to be a weakness and has no respect for us. Islam has not just suddenly started a war against non-believers. They have been at war with us for centuries. It's time for us to realize that and act appropriately. In war there is ALWAYS collateral damage. You cannot win a war utilizing no fire zones.
