Marking of the MMPs will happen someday. However, it is probably going to take a serious accident on the MMPs and a lawsuit before it happens. Then there will be "crowing" of how much it is costing TV to settle the lawsuit and they should have taken action sooner...

I don't care how much you slow down to adjust to the driving conditions, there are still areas on the MMPs where it is very difficult to see the path due to landscaping, elevation and curvature of the path against oncoming traffic (both carts and cars on street). Throw in a little rain, and it makes it real difficult. Staying off the MMPs at night or during rain is a hollow argument relied on by the "personal responsibility" group. We can't enjoy our lives after 5:00 pm or during inclement weather according to them... You're not going to change the minds of the this group.

In the meantime, slowdown and hope you do not get rear-ended. Make sure your cart is well illuminated so others can see you. Take the streets if you can find ones that parallels the MMPs. They are wider, generally better marked, illuminated and have less traffic. And when on the MMPs at night or during rain, make sure to watch for the other crazies out there.
