Older threads show they'd rather listen to "engineering reports" by strangers who don't even live IN The Villages, much less drive a golf cart on city streets and multimodal lanes instead of golf courses.
They will favor ANYTHING that goes along with "Nobody's going to rip ME off for $3 per year!!!!!"
Mleeja was right. Future deaths/dismemberment lawsuits will have them running around blaming the "greedy rich" developer for not doing it before. They have all the answers, but you don't see anyone among them finding anything close to TV's time tested recipe for a city like this anywhere else.

Lawyers and other other interests can usually find reports and the like to strengthen either side of just about any issue.
What I read seems to make the slippery surface of this new kind of covering marking the lines people will stay on the other side with the major problem. It will result in lawsuits from bicyclists and pedestrians who slip on this new surface. How about the roads where lines are now here in the Villages that are County Controlled? Do pedestrians and bicyclists slide on these? How often do these need to be re-painted?
